You know how to manage physical safety – seatbelts, logbooks, speed limits and load limits.
But what about psychosocial hazards?
These are the risks you can’t always see: fatigue, stress, isolation, bullying and burnout. It is these risks that are closely align with what are now classified as psychosocial hazards.
Psychosocial hazards in the workplace are any workplace factors that can cause psychological or physical harm, including mental health issues and under Safe Work Australia WHS laws they must be managed just like any other safety risk.
